Lifespan of globe will be affected significantly if the cable is plugged into a power board. Other factors affecting globe lifespan is if high current appliances such as Large Screen TVs, Fridges, Washing Machines, Dish washers, or Electric Kettles share the circuit. NOTE: There can be up to 8 power outlets sharing a single circuit.
Regarding the slight discoloration inside of our glass globes. This is a thin Phosphorus coating which is added to each globe during manufacture to ensure any remnants of air or moisture in the globe are eliminated.
